At the end of September, the cumulative income and expense balance of the state budget economy was -12.2 billion euros, while the income and expense balance at the same time last year was -7.1 billion euros. Compared to the same time last year, revenues increased by 1.1 billion euros, and expenses by 6.2 billion euros. About 1.7 billion euros of the increase in expenses is due to a correction made in accounting, where the contributions paid to international financial institutions recorded in the balance sheet in previous years have been corrected to annual expenses. Correspondingly, the same amount has been removed from the balance sheet. The correction has had no effect on budget accounting.
